Artificial Intelligence
AI is not a fad. Perhaps there's a bubble, and indeed, some of the more clumsy implementations of AI features from eager startups will fade into obscurity. But the technology is foundational.
Whether we know it or not, AI is already a big part of our everyday lives, both online and offline. It's just that good AI is often invisible, so we don't account for it in the technology's usefulness.
AI is like a wig. We can only notice the bad ones, while a good toupee does its job inconspicuously.
All this to say, we are past the outrage phase. The pipes have already been laid, and we're well inside a new era of the internet. Now's the time we educate ourselves so we know what to fight for. We can't afford another decade of a largely tech-illiterate populace.
They're coming for everything.
